A WALK IN TIME, 36x36, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

Kevin Na is one of the top golfers in the world, know for his signature ‘walk-in’ putt. His high school friend is a pro poker player, he commissioned this as a thank you gift for allowing him to caddie for a day at the masters. The background is the very course they grew up playing on together. That is a teenage Kevin practicing his putts which is now his strength.

The day I started sketching ideas I turned on the tv to watch Kevin play. 10 minutes into sketching, Kevin took the day 2 lead and never looked back, winning a major. Months later as I was putting the final touches on the painting, Kevin won another major. Weird timing! This painting now hangs in his home office, next to all of the same trophies in it.
