GIRL, 36x48, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS

This is one of my only paintings that was finished in a day. This was done over the top of an old poorly painted canvas. So I jumped into painting with only one real idea, a girl staring into the distance with a long exaggerated neck. With a big crunchy brush in hand, and loads of goopy paint, this girl formed. When I was finished I was surprised to find that she looks a LOT like my youngest daughter - something that happens often and without my even realizing it.
